Miracle and Wonder; Conversations With Paul Simon by Malcolm Gladwell
Never a big Paul Simon fan, but these interviews with Malcolm Gladwell are extraordinary. This six-hour audiobook (audible.com) includes multiple interviews with a number of people over several years. What I love about it is how he goes deep into the genesis of his songs writing. For example, Bridge Over Troubled Water is based on a Bach melody.
Stoner (1965) by John Williams
Fiction has never been my thing, but when the New York Times said this was “a perfect novel,” I decided to give it a try (audible). Could not put it down.
