ADELE SCHEELE INTERVIEW

Interview with Adele Scheele,

author of Skills for Success

Imagine you are in a new job, at a party, or attending a conference. You can choose to be a “guest,” or a “host.” Which are you? According to Adele Scheele, your choice will make all the difference about your future success. “Guests” are passive and wait for things to happen. “Hosts” take charge and make things happen. They take risks.

I recently met Adele at the San Miguel Writers’ Conference in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She has been a hero of mine since I read her book in 1980 to help with my transition from being a psychologist to working in corporate America at Hewlett-Packard. I knew nothing about business and was terrified. Her book helped me create a strategy. My transition was smoother because of her book.

Naturally, when I met her in San Miguel, I wanted to get to know her, and of course, interview her. If you know anyone who is struggling at work, or in transition, watch this six minute interview. Forward it. It may save a career.
