AirBnB, New Way to Travel

Getting ready to begin my east coast book tour, I am booking one or two night stays in multiple cities. In fact, I’m going to be on the road 27 days, hitting 10 cities, doing seven major presentations, one radio interview, and visiting some important people from my past. In addition to the raw excitement I’m feeling about all this, it is a logistics nightmare. (All praise to Christine Gabriele who is taking care of all these details.)

Instead of reflexively booking rooms in hotels, I’m trying something new, AirBnB. Using this service, you can book sofas, ro
oms, apartments, or houses almost anywhere. Yes, there are adds to sleep on someone’s sofa. Here are photos of the first one I’m staying at in Logan, Utah. I’ll keep you posted about how it works out. (I’ll also stay in a few hotels.)
