She was selling canned vegitables outside a store. I asked how she prepared her product without electricity. As we talked, we built trust. I asked if she knew about the Amish children killed in Pennsylvia in 2006. She said, “Yes. We sing a song for them every week in church.” I asked if she would sing the song for me. I leaned in close to hear her soft voice. The words, which mentioned the names of each of the children killed, were both chilling and inspiring.
