The Election

Two weeks after the election, I saw this headline: 

Transcript: Paul Krugman on How Badly Trump Voters Have Been Scammed

Love Krugman… but I think the headline is misleading. The Trump voters are SO ENRAGED they want to burn it all down. Middle finger to the Ivy League, MSNBC, CNN, and the Washington elites who run their lives. 

Things have been going downhill for them since the Powell Memo in 1973 (look it up on Lever Time). Libs say, “They are worried about the cost of groceries.” Hardly. How about four decades of being screwed by elites? Let’s remember, 1% own 90% of the wealth of this county. As Robert Reich commented:

Grotesque inequalities of income, wealth, opportunity, and power have caused most Americans to feel angry, surly, cynical, and ready to take a wrecking ball to the whole system.

They’ve had enough. Democracy? Who cares? They know Trump will blow it up. This is a suicide pact for the Trump voters – and they welcome it. Trump loyalist and felon Steve Bannon promises the “deconstruction of the administrative state.”

Think: Columbine murders. They killed their tormentors then themselves. Same thing. Harris’ “politics of joy.” Are you fucking kidding me? Dems: let’s worry about pronouns and bathrooms so we don’t offend trans people. WTF? A trucker working 80 hour weeks. Trouble paying his bills. No retirement. A pissed off  teenager at home on drugs with no hope of college. Hilary  Clinton calls him a deplorable living in a “fly-over state,” while Joe Biden calls him “garbage.”  Dems talk about breaking the  glass ceiling and queer rights. Seriously?  It may just be that DEI and a “woke” military put Trump back in the White House. Why  are we surprised they elected a wrecking ball?

No, they weren’t scammed. Trump voters want vengeance and retribution. They put a middle finger in the Oval Office. Ironically, their lives are going to get SO much worse.

Ben Franklin said, “If you can keep it.” Apparently, we can’t.
