Lunches With Rick and Mary’s Birthday

Lunches With Rick

I’ve started interviewing friends whose life stories I think you’d like to hear. These interviews will usually happen over lunch. One of my first is with old and dear friend Ron Reynolds. Starting out as a high school shop teacher and administrator, he took a leap of faith (in himself) into sales. Along the way he successfully invested in real estate. He reflects at 85 about what got him here.

Two of my favorite quotes:

  • Don’t let the people down who love you.
  • You have to overcome obstacles, but you’re going to grow from the obstacles

Mary’s 75th Birthday

Great fun this weekend helping Mary celebrate. She claims it is her “birthday month.”

Birthday Eve: Nice dinner out followed by a jazz club in San Carlos

BIRTHDAY BREAKFAST – Grand Bay Hotel with Moira Kavanaugh and Tom Curran.

BIRTHDAY LUNCH with Katy and Nate Munger

Afternoon Cooking Lesson with master chef, RAY TANG

DINNER PARTY with Jim and Nancy and Melinda and Roger. We ate what was cooked all afternoon.

POST-BIRTHDAY LUNCH with Bev Kaye and Barry Levitt in Santa Cruz

ON THE BEACH: Hooray for the nonconformists.
