People Will Help
In high school Andy Nantz was into hot rods. It has lasted his whole life. Now he has more sophisticated cars. He travels all over the country in his cars. Inevitably, he deals with break downs. In this interview he describes how people are there to help. It is almost a religious experience.
along with the other stuff (that gets the highest profile) our species is beautiful, kind, compassionate, and giving, from our deepest places….Andy is right….when help is needed friends and strangers are always nearby….

The story reminds me of Mexico. Whenever there is a problem, six strong Mexican guys appear out of nowhere and fix the problem. They fix the flat, lift the car off of the step it was caught on, pull you out of the mud you were stuck in — on and on. Everyone has stories. They appear, get the job done, and then they often disappear before you turn around. They are gone. Although most often you have time to reach into your pocket and give them generous tip, which they appreciate. Mexican guys are kind, compassionate, generous, and resourceful They can fix ANYTHING. and they just show up when you need them.
